Ingredients

  • Glutinous rice flour - 100 grams
  • Water - 80 milliliters
  • Black sesame paste - 50 grams
  • Maple syrup - 20 grams
  • Powdered sugar - 15 grams
  • Coconut oil - 10 grams
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - a pinch

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the glutinous rice flour, powdered sugar, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the water, maple syrup, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until you form a smooth dough.
  5. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and flatten each piece into a disc.
  6. Place a small spoonful of black sesame paste in the center of each disc and carefully wrap the dough around the filling, rolling it into a ball.
