Ingredients

  • Tofu skin - 200 grams
  • Shiitake mushrooms - 100 grams, chopped
  • Carrot - 50 grams, julienned
  • Bell pepper - 50 grams, julienned
  • Cabbage - 50 grams, finely shredded
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Water - 0.5 liters

Steps

  1. Soak the tofu skin in warm water for about 10 minutes until pliable, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a pan, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and ginger, sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add chopped shiitake mushrooms, carrot, bell pepper, and cabbage to the pan. Stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, then remove from heat.
  5. Lay a piece of soaked tofu skin on a clean surface. Place about 2 tablespoons of the vegetable filling at one end and roll it tightly, folding the sides in as you go to secure the filling.
  6. Repeat with the remaining tofu skin and filling to create a total of 6 rolls.
  7. In a steamer, add water and bring to a boil. Place the rolls in the steamer basket and steam for 10-12 minutes until heated through.
  8. Remove from the steamer and let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with chopped green onions.
