  • Instant yeast - 5 grams
  • Sugar - 5 grams
  • Salt - 3 grams
  • Olive oil - 10 ml
  • Ground beef (or chicken) - 150 grams
  • Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
  • Ginger (minced) - 1 teaspoon
  • Chinese five-spice powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Soy sauce - 15 ml
  • Spring onions (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Bell pepper (chopped) - 50 grams
  • Carrot (grated) - 50 grams
  • Mozzarella cheese (shredded) - 100 grams
  • Sesame oil - 5 ml

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until bubbly.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the flour and salt. Gradually add the yeast mixture and olive oil, kneading until a smooth dough forms.
  3. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
  4. In a skillet over medium heat, add the minced garlic and ginger, cooking until fragrant. Add the ground beef (or chicken) and cook until browned.
  5. Stir in the Chinese five-spice powder, soy sauce, spring onions, bell pepper, and grated carrot. Cook for another 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender. Remove from heat.
  6. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  7. Roll out the risen dough on a floured surface into a 10-inch round pizza crust.
  8. Transfer the crust to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spread the meat and vegetable mixture evenly over the crust.
  9. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top, then drizzle with sesame oil.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
  11. Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, then slice and serve.
