- Ginger (minced) - 1 teaspoon
- Chinese five-spice powder - 1 teaspoon
- Soy sauce - 15 ml
- Spring onions (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
- Bell pepper (chopped) - 50 grams
- Carrot (grated) - 50 grams
- Mozzarella cheese (shredded) - 100 grams
- Sesame oil - 5 ml
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until bubbly.
- In a separate bowl, mix the flour and salt. Gradually add the yeast mixture and olive oil, kneading until a smooth dough forms.
- Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
- In a skillet over medium heat, add the minced garlic and ginger, cooking until fragrant. Add the ground beef (or chicken) and cook until browned.
- Stir in the Chinese five-spice powder, soy sauce, spring onions, bell pepper, and grated carrot. Cook for another 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender. Remove from heat.
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
- Roll out the risen dough on a floured surface into a 10-inch round pizza crust.
- Transfer the crust to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spread the meat and vegetable mixture evenly over the crust.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top, then drizzle with sesame oil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, then slice and serve.
