Ingredients
- Lamb chops - 4 pieces (about 400g)
- Soy sauce - 60ml
- Mirin - 30ml
- Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon (15g)
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - to taste
- Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (for garnish)
Steps
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, mirin, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper to create the teriyaki marinade.
- Add the lamb chops to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
- Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Remove the lamb chops from the marinade, letting any excess drip off. Reserve the marinade for basting.
- Grill the lamb chops for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, basting with the reserved marinade during the last few minutes of cooking.
- Once cooked to your desired doneness, remove from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
