- Cauliflower - 1 medium head, cut into florets
- Soy sauce - 60 ml
- Maple syrup - 30 ml
- Rice vinegar - 15 ml
- Sesame oil - 10 ml
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 60 ml
- Green onions - 2, sliced (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (for garnish)
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water until smooth, then add to the simmering sauce. Stir until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Spread the cauliflower florets evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle half of the teriyaki sauce over the cauliflower, tossing to coat.
- Roast the cauliflower in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, stirring halfway through.
- Remove the cauliflower from the oven and drizzle the remaining teriyaki sauce over the top. Toss to coat again.
- Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
