Ingredients
- Ground beef (80% lean) - 300 grams
- Soy sauce - 30 ml
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Ginger powder - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Green tea leaves - 2 tablespoons
- Jasmine rice (for smoking) - 2 tablespoons
- Lettuce leaves (large) - 4
- Sliced cucumber - 100 grams
- Sliced avocado - 100 grams
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
Steps
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, soy sauce, garlic powder, ginger powder, and black pepper. Mix well and form into 2 patties.
- Preheat a smoker or a stovetop smoking pan with a lid. Combine green tea leaves and jasmine rice in a small bowl.
- Place the tea and rice mixture in the smoking pan and heat until it starts to smoke.
- Once smoking, place the burger patties on a rack above the smoking mixture, cover the pan, and smoke for about 10-12 minutes for medium doneness.
- While the burgers are smoking, prepare the lettuce wraps by washing and drying the lettuce leaves.
- Remove the smoked burgers from the heat and let them rest for 5 minutes.
- Assemble the burgers by placing the smoked patties in the lettuce leaves, topped with sliced cucumber and avocado. Drizzle with sesame oil before serving.
