Ingredients

  • Taro - 200 grams
  • Tapioca starch - 80 grams
  • Protein powder (unflavored) - 30 grams
  • Coconut milk - 100 ml
  • Sugar - 30 grams
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Water - 200 ml

Steps

  1. Peel and cube the taro, then steam it for about 20 minutes until soft.
  2. Mash the steamed taro in a bowl until smooth.
  3. Add tapioca starch, protein powder, coconut milk, sugar, and a pinch of salt to the mashed taro. Mix until a dough forms.
  4. Divide the dough into small balls, about 2.5 cm in diameter.
  5. Bring water to a boil in a pot. Carefully drop the taro balls into the boiling water.
  6. Once the balls float to the surface, let them cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Remove the balls from the water and let them cool slightly before serving.
