  • Pizza dough - 200g
  • Chicken thighs, boneless - 200g
  • Cornstarch - 50g
  • Garlic powder - 1 tsp
  • Five-spice powder - 1 tsp
  • Salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Black pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • Vegetable oil for frying - 200ml
  • Sweet chili sauce - 2 tbsp
  • Green onions, chopped - 2 tbsp
  • Cilantro, chopped - 2 tbsp
  • Sriracha (optional) - to taste
  • Tomato sauce - 100g
  • Red bell pepper, sliced - 50g
  • Red onion, thinly sliced - 50g

Steps

  1. Prepare the pizza dough according to package instructions or your favorite recipe, allowing it to rest for 20 minutes.
  2. While the dough is resting, cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces and place them in a bowl.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch, garlic powder, five-spice powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Coat the chicken pieces in the cornstarch mixture until well covered.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat, and fry the chicken pieces until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  6. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F). Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  7. Spread tomato sauce evenly over the rolled-out pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
