Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 300 grams, cut into 2 cm cubes
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Szechuan peppercorns - 1 teaspoon, ground
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Chili oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Bell pepper - 1, cut into 2 cm cubes
  • Wooden skewers - 4, soaked in water for 30 minutes

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, ground Szechuan peppercorns, minced garlic, minced ginger, chili oil, honey, and sesame oil to create the marinade.
  2. Add the beef cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to let the flavors meld.
  3. While the beef is marinating, prepare the bell pepper and chop the green onions for garnish.
  4. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the marinated beef and bell pepper pieces onto the soaked wooden skewers, alternating between beef and bell pepper.
  6. Place the skewers on the preheated grill and cook for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the beef is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
  7. Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
