Ingredients

  • Chicken thighs - 400 grams
  • Soy sauce - 60 ml
  • Honey - 30 grams
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 10 grams, grated
  • Rice vinegar - 15 ml
  • Sesame oil - 10 ml
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, and sesame oil to create the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade (reserve the marinade) and season with salt and black pepper.
  4. Add the chicken to the skillet and sear for about 5 minutes on each side, until browned and cooked through.
  5. Pour the reserved marinade into the skillet and bring to a simmer. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and glaze the chicken.
  6. Once the chicken is fully cooked and coated in the glaze, remove from heat. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
