- Brown sugar - 30 grams
- Honey - 15 ml
- Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
- Ginger, grated - 1 teaspoon
- Sesame oil - 10 ml
- Rice vinegar - 15 ml
- Green onions, chopped - 2 for garnish
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon for garnish
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, and rice vinegar to create the marinade.
- Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
- Preheat the grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and place it on the grill. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is fully cooked and has a nice char.
- During grilling, brush the chicken with the leftover marinade for extra flavor, but discard any remaining marinade afterward.
- Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes.
