- Ground chicken - 200 grams
- Gluten-free soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh ginger, grated - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic, minced - 1 clove
- Green onion, finely chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Lettuce leaves (for wrapping) - 4 large leaves
- Cucumber, thinly sliced - 50 grams
- Carrot, grated - 50 grams
- Cilantro, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame seeds (optional) - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, gluten-free soy sauce, honey, grated ginger, minced garlic, green onion, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Form the mixture into two evenly sized burger patties.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease with cooking spray or a small amount of oil.
- Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have a nice golden color.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the lettuce wraps by washing and drying the lettuce leaves.
- Once cooked, remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a minute.
- To assemble the burgers, place a chicken patty on each lettuce leaf and top with sliced cucumber, grated carrot, and chopped cilantro. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top if desired.
