Ingredients
- Glutinous rice flour - 200 grams
- Water - 150 ml
- Black sesame paste - 50 grams
- Sugar - 30 grams
- Coconut milk - 100 ml
- Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame seeds - for coating
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the glutinous rice flour and water. Mix until a smooth dough forms.
- Divide the dough into small balls, about 25 grams each.
- Take each ball and flatten it in your palm, then place about half a teaspoon of black sesame paste in the center. Fold the edges over to seal and roll into a smooth ball.
- In a separate bowl, mix the sugar with the coconut milk until dissolved.
- Bring a pot of water to a gentle boil. Drop the rice balls into the boiling water and cook until they float to the surface, about 5 minutes.
- Remove the rice balls with a slotted spoon and let them cool slightly. While they are still warm, roll them in cornstarch to prevent sticking.
- Serve the sweet rice balls drizzled with the coconut milk mixture and sprinkled with sesame seeds.
