Ingredients
- All-purpose flour - 200 grams
- Baking powder - 5 grams
- Salt - 2 grams
- Water - 100 ml
- Sweet potato - 200 grams (cooked and mashed)
- Carrot - 50 grams (finely chopped)
- Green onion - 30 grams (finely chopped)
- Soy sauce - 10 ml
- Sesame oil - 5 ml
- Ginger - 5 grams (minced)
- Garlic - 2 grams (minced)
- Black pepper - 1 gram
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add water and knead the mixture until a smooth dough forms. Cover and let it rest for 20 minutes.
- In another bowl, combine the cooked and mashed sweet potato, chopped carrot, green onion, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced ginger, minced garlic, and black pepper. Mix well to create the filling.
- Divide the rested dough into 4 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a circle about 10 cm in diameter.
- Place a spoonful of the sweet potato filling in the center of each dough circle. Gather the edges of the dough and pinch to seal the filling inside, forming a bun.
- Prepare a steamer and bring water to a boil. Place the buns in the steamer, leaving space between them. Cover and steam for 15-20 minutes until they are cooked through.
- Remove from the steamer and serve warm, either plain or with a dipping sauce of your choice.
