Ingredients
- All-purpose flour - 200 grams
- Warm water - 100 ml
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Carrot - 50 grams, diced
- Bell pepper - 50 grams, diced
- Zucchini - 50 grams, diced
- Green onion - 2 stalks, chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Tomato ketchup - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Black sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, warm water, olive oil, and salt. Knead the mixture until it forms a smooth dough. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- In a pan, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Add diced carrot, bell pepper, and zucchini to the pan. Stir-fry the vegetables for about 5 minutes until they are tender but still crisp.
- In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, and tomato ketchup. Pour the sauce over the vegetables and stir well. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Remove from heat.
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
- Divide the resting dough into two equal portions. Roll each portion into a flat round shape, approximately 25 cm in diameter.
- Place one rolled dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spread half of the vegetable mixture over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Fold the edges of the dough over the filling to form a crust. Brush the crust with sesame oil and sprinkle with black sesame seeds.
- Repeat the process for the second pie with the remaining dough and filling.
- Bake both pies in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
