Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 200 grams
  • Warm water - 100 ml
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Carrot - 50 grams, diced
  • Bell pepper - 50 grams, diced
  • Zucchini - 50 grams, diced
  • Green onion - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Tomato ketchup - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Black sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, warm water, olive oil, and salt. Knead the mixture until it forms a smooth dough. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  2. In a pan, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  3. Add diced carrot, bell pepper, and zucchini to the pan. Stir-fry the vegetables for about 5 minutes until they are tender but still crisp.
  4. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, and tomato ketchup. Pour the sauce over the vegetables and stir well. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Remove from heat.
  5. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
  6. Divide the resting dough into two equal portions. Roll each portion into a flat round shape, approximately 25 cm in diameter.
  7. Place one rolled dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spread half of the vegetable mixture over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  8. Fold the edges of the dough over the filling to form a crust. Brush the crust with sesame oil and sprinkle with black sesame seeds.
  9. Repeat the process for the second pie with the remaining dough and filling.
  10. Bake both pies in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
