  • Bell pepper (yellow) - 1 medium, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • Red onion - 1 small, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • Pineapple chunks - 100 grams, fresh or canned
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Soy sauce (gluten-free) - 2 tablespoons
  • Rice vinegar - 2 tablespoons
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon

  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, minced garlic, minced ginger, sesame oil, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Add the shrimp to the marinade, mixing well to ensure they are fully coated. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  3. While the shrimp is marinating, soak wooden skewers in water for 10 minutes (if using) to prevent burning.
  4. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the marinated shrimp, bell peppers, red onion, and pineapple onto the skewers, alternating between the ingredients.
  6. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until the shrimp are opaque and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes total.
  7. Remove from the grill and serve immediately with additional sauce if desired.
