  • Pineapple chunks - 100 grams, canned or fresh
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Ketchup - 2 tablespoons
  • Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, rice vinegar, ketchup, brown sugar, and cornstarch to create the sweet and sour sauce. Set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the sliced pork to the pan and stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add the minced garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add the sliced bell peppers and onion to the pan, cooking for about 3-4 minutes until they are slightly tender but still crisp.
  6. Return the cooked pork to the pan, add the pineapple chunks, and pour in the sweet and sour sauce. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the ingredients.
  7. Drizzle with sesame oil, season with salt and black pepper to taste, and stir well.
  8. Serve hot over cooked rice.
