- Egg - 1 large
- Breadcrumbs - 1/2 cup
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons (for frying)
- Burger buns - 2
- Lettuce leaves - 2
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Cucumber - 1 small, sliced
- Sweet and sour sauce - 4 tablespoons
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (for garnish)
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, finely chop the chicken breast and season it with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and ginger powder.
- Add cornstarch and egg to the chicken mixture and mix until well combined.
- Form the chicken mixture into 2 equal-sized patties.
- Coat each patty in breadcrumbs, pressing lightly to adhere.
- Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat and cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
- While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns in a separate pan or oven.
- Once the patties are done, assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, followed by the chicken patty, tomato slices, cucumber slices, and a generous drizzle of sweet and sour sauce.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top, add the top bun, and serve immediately.
