- Beef (ground) - 250 grams
- Garlic - 5 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Chinese steamed buns - 2 pieces
- Cucumber - 1 small, sliced
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, minced garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Form the mixture into two equal patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the beef is cooked through and browned.
- While the patties are cooking, steam the Chinese buns according to package instructions until soft and warm.
- Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a minute.
- Assemble the burgers by placing each beef patty inside a steamed bun. Top with chopped green onions, cilantro, and cucumber slices.
- Serve immediately with your choice of dipping sauce.
