Ingredients

  • Beef (ground) - 250 grams
  • Garlic - 5 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Chinese steamed buns - 2 pieces
  • Cucumber - 1 small, sliced
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, minced garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  2. Form the mixture into two equal patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the beef is cooked through and browned.
  4. While the patties are cooking, steam the Chinese buns according to package instructions until soft and warm.
  5. Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a minute.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing each beef patty inside a steamed bun. Top with chopped green onions, cilantro, and cucumber slices.
  7. Serve immediately with your choice of dipping sauce.
