Ingredients
- All-purpose flour - 200 grams
- Yeast - 5 grams
- Sugar - 10 grams
- Salt - 3 grams
- Warm water - 120 ml
- Ground chicken - 150 grams
- Green onions - 30 grams, finely chopped
- Ginger - 10 grams, grated
- Soy sauce - 15 ml
- Sesame oil - 5 ml
- Black pepper - 1 gram
- Vegetable oil - for frying
Steps
- In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 10 minutes until foamy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and knead until a smooth dough forms. Cover and let it rise for 30 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix ground chicken, green onions, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.
- Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 4 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a small circle.
- Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture in the center of each dough circle. Fold the edges over the filling and pinch to seal tightly.
- Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Place the stuffed buns seam-side down and fry for 3-4 minutes until golden.
- Add a splash of water to the pan and cover immediately to steam the buns for an additional 5-6 minutes.
- Remove the lid and continue to fry for another 2 minutes until the water has evaporated and the buns are crispy.
