Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 200 grams, thinly sliced
  • Red bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Green bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Yellow bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Cornstarch - 1 teaspoon
  • Water - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, and black pepper, and let it marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the marinated beef to the pan and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil and then add the minced garlic and ginger, stir-frying for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add the sliced bell peppers to the pan and stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
  6. Return the cooked beef to the pan, add the oyster sauce, sesame oil, and water, and stir well to combine all ingredients. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed, then serve hot.
