- Octopus (cleaned) - 300 grams
- Red bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
- Yellow bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 inch, minced
- Spring onions - 2, chopped
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper - to taste
- Red chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon (optional)
- Salt - to taste
- Lime - 1, juiced
Steps
- Boil a pot of water and add the cleaned octopus. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the minced garlic and ginger to the skillet, stirring for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the sliced bell peppers and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until they start to soften.
- Add the cooked octopus to the skillet and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.
- Pour in the soy sauce, sesame oil, lime juice, and season with black pepper and red chili flakes if desired. Stir well to combine.
- Add the chopped spring onions and stir-fry for an additional minute.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately.
