  • Red chili - 1, sliced (optional)
  • Soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free) - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Rinse the clams under cold water to remove any sand or grit, then soak them in salted water for about 20 minutes.
  2. In a wok or large frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and ginger to the pan, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. If using, add the sliced red chili and stir-fry for another 30 seconds.
