Ingredients

  • Fresh clams - 500 grams
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, finely chopped
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Coconut aminos - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Red chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste

Steps

  1. Soak the clams in cold water for 30 minutes to remove any sand, then rinse thoroughly.
  2. Heat sesame oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and chopped ginger to the pan, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the rinsed clams to the pan and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they start to open.
  5. Pour in the coconut aminos and sprinkle the red chili flakes over the clams, stirring well to combine.
  6. Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes until all the clams have opened.
  7. Remove from heat, then add lemon juice, chopped green onions, and fresh cilantro. Mix well and season with salt to taste.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with additional cilantro if desired.
