Ingredients

  • Chinese chives - 200 grams
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Red chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon (optional)
  • Salt - to taste

Steps

  1. Wash the Chinese chives thoroughly and cut them into 5 cm lengths.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the pan and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Add the Chinese chives to the pan and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until they are bright green and tender.
  5. Pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil, and add red chili flakes if using. Stir well to combine and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  6. Taste and add salt as needed, then remove from heat and serve immediately.
