- Glutinous rice - 200 grams
- Pork shoulder, minced - 150 grams
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
- Ginger, minced - 1 teaspoon
- Green onions, chopped - 2 stalks
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- White pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Water - 250 milliliters
Steps
- Rinse the glutinous rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then soak it in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- In a bowl, mix the minced pork with soy sauce, oyster sauce, garlic, ginger, white pepper, and salt. Let it marinate for 30 minutes.
- Drain the soaked rice and spread it evenly on a heatproof plate or in a steaming basket.
- Place the marinated pork on top of the rice, then sprinkle the chopped green onions over the pork.
- Fill a steamer or a pot with water and bring it to a boil. Place the plate with rice and pork into the steamer, cover, and steam for 25-30 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the pork is cooked through.
- Once done, drizzle sesame oil over the dish before serving. Serve hot and enjoy!
