Ingredients

  • Rice paper wrappers - 8 sheets

  • Shiitake mushrooms - 100 grams, sliced
  • Cabbage - 100 grams, thinly sliced
  • Spring onion - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Fresh cilantro - 30 grams, chopped
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Prepare all vegetables by washing and cutting them into thin strips or slices.
  2. In a bowl, mix the sliced shiitake mushrooms, cabbage, carrot, cucumber, red bell pepper, spring onion, and cilantro. Drizzle with soy sauce and sesame oil, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Soak each rice paper sheet in warm water for about 10-15 seconds until it becomes pliable.
  4. Lay the soaked rice paper on a clean surface, place a small amount of the vegetable mixture at one end, and fold the sides over the filling. Roll tightly from the end with the filling to form a roll.
  5. Repeat the process with the remaining rice paper sheets and vegetable mixture.
  6. Set up a steamer pot with water and bring it to a boil. Place the rolls in a steamer basket lined with parchment paper or cabbage leaves to prevent sticking.
  7. Steam the vegetable rolls for about 10-12 minutes until they are heated through.
  8. Serve warm with additional soy sauce or a dipping sauce of your choice.
