Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 150 grams
  • Water - 75 milliliters
  • Carrot - 50 grams, finely chopped
  • Cabbage - 100 grams, finely chopped
  • Spinach - 50 grams, chopped
  • Green onion - 20 grams, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Pepper - 1/4 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and water to form a smooth dough. Knead for about 5 minutes until elastic. Let it rest for 20 minutes covered with a damp cloth.
  2. In another bowl, mix the carrots, cabbage, spinach, green onion, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Roll the rested dough into a long cylinder and cut it into small pieces (about 20 grams each). Roll each piece into a thin circle on a floured surface.
  4. Place a teaspoon of the vegetable filling in the center of each circle, fold the dough over to create a half-moon shape, and pinch the edges to seal tightly.
  5. Prepare a steamer and line it with parchment paper. Arrange the dumplings in a single layer, leaving space between each one.
  6. Steam the dumplings over boiling water for about 15 minutes until cooked through and slightly translucent.
  7. Serve hot with a dipping sauce of your choice, such as soy sauce or a vinegar-based sauce.
