Steps

  1. Wash and peel the sweet potatoes, then cut them into 2-3 cm thick slices.
  2. Place the sweet potato slices in a steamer basket and sprinkle with sea salt.
  3. Fill a pot with about 2-3 cm of water, bring to a boil, and then reduce to a simmer.
  4. Place the steamer basket over the pot, ensuring it doesn't touch the water, and cover with a lid.
  5. Steam the sweet potatoes for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are tender and can be easily pierced with a fork.
