Ingredients
- Shrimp, peeled and deveined - 200 grams
- Dumpling wrappers - 12 pieces
- Garlic, minced - 1 clove
- Ginger, grated - 1 teaspoon
- Green onion, finely chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Water - for steaming
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the shrimp, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green onion, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Take a dumpling wrapper and place a teaspoon of the shrimp mixture in the center. Moisten the edges with a little water, fold the wrapper in half, and pinch the edges to seal. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- Prepare a steamer by filling it with water and bringing it to a boil. If using a bamboo steamer, line it with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- Place the dumplings in the steamer basket, ensuring they are not touching each other. Steam the dumplings for 8-10 minutes or until the shrimp is cooked through and the wrappers are translucent.
- Serve the steamed dumplings hot with a side of soy sauce or chili oil for dipping.
