Steps
- Soak the rice vermicelli in warm water for about 15 minutes until softened, then drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, combine the minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil to create a marinade.
- Add the fresh scallops to the marinade and let them sit for about 10 minutes.
- Prepare a steamer by bringing water to a boil in a pot.
- Place the soaked vermicelli on a steaming plate, then arrange the marinated scallops on top of the vermicelli.
- Steam the scallops and vermicelli for about 8-10 minutes, or until the scallops are cooked through and opaque.
