  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Cooking wine - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste

Steps

  1. Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil. Add a pinch of salt to the water.
  2. While the water is boiling, prepare the lobster by rinsing it under cold water. Use a sharp knife to cut the lobster in half lengthwise, removing the stomach and any impurities.
  3. Once the water is boiling, place a steaming rack in the pot and arrange the lobster halves, shell side down, on the rack.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the minced garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, cooking wine, black pepper, and salt to create a marinade.
  5. Pour half of the marinade over the lobster halves evenly, ensuring the garlic and ginger are well distributed.
  6. Cover the pot and steam the lobster for about 15-20 minutes, or until the meat is opaque and cooked through.
  7. After steaming, remove the lobster from the pot and drizzle the remaining marinade over the top. Garnish with chopped spring onions.
