- Dry white wine - 100 ml

- Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Red chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon (optional)
- Fresh cilantro - for garnish
- Water - 200 ml
Steps
- Rinse the clams under cold water to remove any sand or grit, then soak them in fresh water for 20 minutes.
- In a large pot, add the white wine, minced garlic, minced ginger, and 200 ml of water. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
- Once the mixture is simmering, add the clams to the pot and cover with a lid. Steam for about 5-7 minutes or until the clams open up.
- Remove from heat and discard any clams that did not open.
- Add the soy sauce, sesame oil, chopped green onions, and red chili flakes (if using) to the pot. Stir gently to combine.
- Serve the steamed clams in a bowl, garnished with fresh cilantro and extra green onions if desired.
