Ingredients
- Wonton wrappers - 20 pieces
- Lean ground chicken or turkey - 150 grams
- Finely chopped green onions - 2 tablespoons
- Minced garlic - 1 clove
- Grated ginger - 1 teaspoon
- Chili paste - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Chopped spinach - 50 grams
- Water - for sealing the wontons
- Low-sodium chicken broth - 500 ml
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken or turkey, green onions, garlic, ginger, chili paste, soy sauce, sesame oil, and chopped spinach. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface and add about 1 teaspoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it over to create a triangle, and press the edges to seal. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- Bring the chicken broth to a gentle simmer in a pot over medium heat. Add the wontons carefully and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until they float to the top and are cooked through.
- Using a slotted spoon, remove the wontons from the broth and serve them hot. Optionally, drizzle with extra chili paste or sprinkle with additional green onions for added flavor.
