  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 inch, grated
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Chili paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 3 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Press the tofu for about 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into cubes.

  3. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the tofu cubes to the skillet and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 10 minutes. Remove the tofu from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil, garlic, and ginger, and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Add the sliced red and green bell peppers to the skillet and stir-fry for about 5 minutes until they are slightly softened but still crisp.
  7. Stir in the cooked tofu, soy sauce, chili paste, and sesame oil. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
