Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 200 grams
  • Broccoli - 200 grams
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Chili garlic sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions - 2, sliced
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess water, then cut it into cubes.
  2. In a bowl, toss the tofu cubes with cornstarch, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the tofu cubes and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 10 minutes. Remove tofu from the pan and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add minced garlic and ginger, sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, chili garlic sauce, and sesame oil.
  7. Return the tofu to the pan, pour the sauce over the tofu and broccoli, and toss to coat everything evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions.
