Ingredients
- Firm tofu - 300 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Ginger powder - 1 teaspoon
- Chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
- Cabbage (shredded) - 100 grams
- Cilantro (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
- Avocado - 1 small
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large (for taco shells)
- Salt - to taste
Steps
- Press the tofu for about 15 minutes to remove excess water, then cut into small cubes.
- In a bowl, mix the olive oil, garlic powder, ginger powder, chili flakes, soy sauce, and lime juice.
- Add the cubed tofu to the marinade and let it sit for at least 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add the marinated tofu. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the tofu is golden and crispy.
- While the tofu is cooking, prepare the toppings by shredding the cabbage, chopping the cilantro, and slicing the avocado.
- Once the tofu is ready, assemble the tacos by placing a few pieces of crispy tofu in the center of each lettuce leaf.
- Top with shredded cabbage, cilantro, and slices of avocado. Season with salt if desired.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your Spicy Tofu Tacos!
