Ingredients

  • Firm Tofu - 250 grams
  • Bell Pepper (red) - 1 medium, sliced
  • Broccoli - 150 grams, cut into florets
  • Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 inch, grated
  • Soy Sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Chili Paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable Oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Green Onions - 2, sliced
  • Sesame Seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black Pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess water, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large non-stick skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the tofu cubes and fry until golden and crispy on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add the minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add the sliced bell pepper, broccoli florets, and julienned carrot to the pan. Stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  6. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, chili paste, and sesame oil. Pour the sauce over the vegetables and stir to combine.
  7. Return the crispy tofu to the pan and toss everything together gently. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the tofu to absorb the flavors.
  8. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Remove from heat.
  9. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
