Ingredients
- Firm Tofu - 250 grams
- Bell Pepper (red) - 1 medium, sliced
- Broccoli - 150 grams, cut into florets
- Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 inch, grated
- Soy Sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Chili Paste - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Green Onions - 2, sliced
- Sesame Seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black Pepper - to taste
Steps
- Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess water, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large non-stick skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the tofu cubes and fry until golden and crispy on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the sliced bell pepper, broccoli florets, and julienned carrot to the pan. Stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, chili paste, and sesame oil. Pour the sauce over the vegetables and stir to combine.
- Return the crispy tofu to the pan and toss everything together gently. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the tofu to absorb the flavors.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Remove from heat.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
