Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 250 grams
  • Bell pepper (red or yellow) - 1 medium, cut into cubes
  • Zucchini - 1 medium, sliced
  • Red onion - 1 small, cut into wedges
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sriracha sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Maple syrup - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Skewers - 4 (soaked in water if wooden)

Steps

  1. Press the tofu for about 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 2 cm cubes.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, Sriracha, sesame oil, rice vinegar, maple syrup, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  3. Add the tofu cubes into the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated, and let them marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, prepare the vegetables by cutting them into bite-sized pieces.
  5. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat.
  6. Once the tofu is marinated, thread the tofu and vegetables onto the skewers, alternating between them.
  7. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until the tofu is golden and the vegetables are tender.
  8. Remove the skewers from the grill and let them cool for a minute before serving.
