Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 200 grams
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Chili oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Fresh ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Maple syrup - 1 teaspoon
  • Mixed salad greens - 100 grams
  • Cucumber - 1 small, thinly sliced
  • Red bell pepper - 1 small, sliced
  • Carrot - 1 small, julienned
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, chili oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, and maple syrup to make the dressing.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add the tofu cubes. Cook until golden brown on all sides, about 10-12 minutes.
  4. Once cooked, remove the tofu from the heat and let it cool slightly before adding it to the salad.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the mixed salad greens, cucumber, red bell pepper, and carrot.
  6. Add the cooked tofu to the vegetables, then drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine.
  7. Season with salt and black pepper to taste, then sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
