- Firm tofu - 200 grams
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sriracha sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh ginger, grated - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
- Green onions, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Red bell pepper, diced - 1/2 medium
- Carrot, grated - 1 medium
- Frozen puff pastry - 1 sheet (approx. 250 grams)
- Egg (beaten, for egg wash) - 1 large
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cilantro, chopped - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Drain the tofu and press it to remove excess moisture, then crumble it into a bowl.
- Add soy sauce, sriracha, grated ginger, minced garlic, black pepper, and sesame oil to the crumbled tofu. Mix well.
- Stir in the chopped green onions, diced red bell pepper, grated carrot, and chopped cilantro until combined.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to fit a small pie dish.
- Place half of the puff pastry in the pie dish, pressing it against the sides and bottom.
- Spoon the tofu mixture into the pastry-lined pie dish, spreading it evenly.
- Cover with the remaining puff pastry, sealing the edges by pressing them together. Cut a few slits in the top to allow steam to escape.
- Brush the top with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
