Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 200 grams
  • Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sriracha - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground ginger - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2 stalks (chopped)
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Vegetable oil - for frying

Steps

  1. Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, Sriracha, garlic powder, ground ginger, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  3. Add the tofu cubes to the marinade and gently toss to coat. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
  4. While the tofu is marinating, heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  5. After marinating, sprinkle cornstarch over the tofu cubes and toss gently to coat evenly.
  6. Fry the tofu cubes in the hot oil until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  7. Remove the tofu bites from the pan and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
