Ingredients

  • Wheat noodles - 200 grams
  • Ground chicken - 150 grams
  • Sichuan peppercorns - 1 teaspoon
  • Chili oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, minced
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Water - 1 liter

Steps

  1. Bring 1 liter of water to a boil in a pot. Add the wheat noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the Sichuan peppercorns and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add the minced garlic and ginger to the pan, stirring continuously for about 30 seconds until they become aromatic.
  4. Add the ground chicken to the pan, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Stir in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and chili oil. Mix well to combine all ingredients and let it simmer for 2 minutes.
  6. Add the cooked noodles to the pan and toss them in the sauce until evenly coated. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Adjust seasoning with salt if necessary.
