Ingredients

  • Shrimp - 300 grams, peeled and deveined
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sriracha - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Lettuce leaves (Butter or Romaine) - 4 large leaves
  • Cucumber - 1 small, julienned
  • Green onions - 2, sliced
  • Cilantro - a handful, chopped
  • Lime - 1, cut into wedges

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine shrimp, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, Sriracha, and sesame oil. Marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add the marinated shrimp. Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until shrimp are pink and cooked through, stirring occasionally.
  3. While the shrimp is cooking, prepare the lettuce leaves by washing and drying them.
  4. Once the shrimp is done, assemble the tacos by placing a few shrimp in each lettuce leaf.
  5. Top with julienned cucumber, sliced green onions, and chopped cilantro.
  6. Serve with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the tacos.
