Ingredients

  • Shrimp (peeled and deveined) - 200 grams
  • Tapioca starch - 100 grams
  • Rice flour - 50 grams
  • Chili powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Water - 100 ml
  • Vegetable oil (for frying) - as needed

Steps

  1. In a food processor, combine the shrimp, tapioca starch, rice flour, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth.
  2. Gradually add water while blending until a thick paste forms.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a piping bag or a plastic bag with the corner snipped off.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to 180°C (350°F).
  5. Pipe small circles of the shrimp mixture into the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding.
  6. Fry until the chips puff up and turn golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
  7. Remove the chips with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
