Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 300 grams
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Sriracha sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onion - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lime - 1, cut into wedges (for serving)

Steps

  1. Drain the tofu and press it between paper towels to remove excess moisture for about 15 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, sesame oil, sriracha, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, and chili flakes to create a marinade.
  3. Cut the pressed tofu into 1.5 cm thick slices and place them in the marinade, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  4. Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Once hot, place the marinated tofu slices on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until grill marks form and the tofu is heated through.
  6. Remove the tofu from the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
  7. Serve the grilled tofu topped with chopped green onions and cilantro, with lime wedges on the side.
