Ingredients

  • Halal pork sausage - 300 grams

  • Red chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Lime - 1, juiced
  • Fresh cilantro - a handful, chopped
  • Salt - to taste

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine minced garlic, grated ginger, crushed Sichuan peppercorns, red chili flakes, soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, lime juice, and salt to create a marinade.
  2. Add the Halal pork sausage to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the sausages from the marinade and thread them onto skewers (if using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes first).
  5. Grill the sausages for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are cooked through and have nice grill marks.
  6. Remove from the grill and let rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
