Ingredients

  • Edamame - 200 grams (in pods)
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Red chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Rice vinegar - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Green onions - 1, finely chopped (for garnish)

Steps

  1. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add the edamame pods. Cook for about 5 minutes until tender, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the sesame oil and minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
  3. Add the cooked edamame to the skillet along with the soy sauce, red chili flakes, and rice vinegar. Stir well to coat the edamame evenly.
  4. Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together. Taste and add salt if needed.
  5. Remove from heat and transfer to a serving bowl. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
