Ingredients

  • Edamame pods - 300 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Red chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Rice vinegar - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, toasted
  • Green onions - 1 tablespoon, chopped

Steps

  1. In a medium pot, bring water to a boil. Add the edamame pods and cook for 5 minutes until tender but still firm.
  2. Drain the edamame and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the cooked edamame to the skillet along with the soy sauce, rice vinegar, red chili flakes, and salt. Stir well to coat the edamame evenly.
  5. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the edamame is heated through and infused with flavors.
  6. Remove from heat and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
