- Edamame pods - 300 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Red chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Rice vinegar - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, toasted
- Green onions - 1 tablespoon, chopped
Steps
- In a medium pot, bring water to a boil. Add the edamame pods and cook for 5 minutes until tender but still firm.
- Drain the edamame and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the cooked edamame to the skillet along with the soy sauce, rice vinegar, red chili flakes, and salt. Stir well to coat the edamame evenly.
- Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the edamame is heated through and infused with flavors.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
