Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 300 grams, sliced into thin strips
  • Red bell pepper - 1, sliced
  • Broccoli florets - 100 grams
  • Carrot - 1, julienned
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Chili paste - 1 tablespoon (adjust to taste)
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the sliced chicken breast with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, chili paste, salt, and black pepper. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large wok or frying pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the marinated chicken to the pan and stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until fully cooked and browned. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the minced garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add the sliced red bell pepper, broccoli florets, and julienned carrot to the pan. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are crisp-tender.
  6. Return the cooked chicken to the pan, and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and sesame oil. Stir everything together, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until well combined.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving. Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
